Stevenage Broadband
Stevenage has a number of broadband options available.
The BT exchange has been enabled for ADSL broadband for many years, it has also been enabled for LLC broadband providers such as Be, Sky, AOL, TalkTalk and Orange. ADSL speeds are generally good over most of the town due to the central location of the exchange. The next generation Fibre To The Cabinet (FTTC) is scheduled to be enabled by mid 2011 offering much higher speeds.
Cable broadband is provided by Virgin Media. The system was originally installed in the mid 90′s by CableTel and has evolved over several years into Virgin Media. Cable Broadband is usually provided as part of a phone and cable TV package.
